Strawberries have long been considered royal fruit and a symbol of love for their taste.
They were known in ancient Rome, but they began to be consumed in large quantities only in the late Middle Ages, when they were primarily cultivated by monks. Today's garden strawberries were created by crossing several wild species, thanks to the court gardener of Louis XV. In our region, they spread on a larger scale only in the 19th century, especially in Central Bohemia. Today, they are an inseparable part of summer – and it is their taste that inspired us to create this fresh seasonal menu. Bon appétit wishes Chef Denis Wágner.
