The concert will highlight the importance of supporting people with visual impairments and will commemorate the long-standing work of the organization that helps the blind and visually impaired.
The benefit concert, which will take place on June 3 at Cinema 35 of the French Institute on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Tyfloservis organization, will highlight the importance of supporting people with visual impairments and will commemorate the long-standing activities of the organization that helps blind and visually impaired individuals gain greater independence in their daily lives. The evening will be hosted by actor Jan Zadražil, with the main musical guest being singer Lenka Nová along with guitarist Josef Štěpánek. The connection between Lenka Nová and Tyfloservis is fateful in that the performer is celebrating 35 years on the Czech music scene this year. The festive evening will also include the presentation of the so-called "Bell of Gratitude," which the organization awards to a company or individual who significantly contributes to helping people with severe visual impairments. In addition to the cultural program, the gala evening will create space for a meeting of the organization's clients, professionals, partners, and supporters. The proceeds from the event will be used to support the services of Tyfloservis, which are provided to people with visual impairments free of charge. For 35 years, Tyfloservis has been guiding blind and visually impaired individuals on their path to greater independence and freedom. It teaches them to walk with a white cane, read Braille, work on a computer keyboard, and manage everyday skills that most take for granted. Throughout its existence, it has supported more than 76,000 people – and all services are offered completely free of charge. This evening is dedicated to them.
