The festival will open the new cultural center in the former Galaxie cinema with the launch of its 30th edition and will offer exhibitions as well as theater and dance programs.
The thirtieth edition of the contemporary art festival 4+4 Days in Motion will officially open the new cultural space Galaxie on September 19, which will revitalize the former multiplex cinema in Háje. The space will be open to the public until June 2026 and will offer not only exhibitions but also debates, workshops, lectures, and community activities. Together with the Four Days, this cultural station will also be occupied by the Dejvice Theatre, the Minor Theatre, the DanceConnected platform, and DAMU.
The twelfth edition of the 3Kino festival is entering a new chapter in its existence. Under the new name Polish Film Festival Prague, this year it focuses on Polish cinema in the competitive section, which is rightly regarded as one of the most vibrant, original, and reflective in contemporary Europe. A baby mantle guereza has been born at Prague Zoo. This is the first addition of these African monkeys in the Dja Reserve pavilion. It is also the first Prague baby of the rarer Kikuyu subspecies, which the zoo has been keeping since the beginning of this year. Unlike its black-and-white parents, the baby is snow-white, a color that will only last for a few weeks. The female Lebamba is a first-time mother, but she has taken on her role well. However, it is important to remember that the baby, whose sex is still unknown, has not yet overcome the critical period. It is already on display in the main exhibition of the pavilion, which, along with the guerezas, is inhabited by a family group of lowland gorillas.
The seventh edition of Comic-Con Prague will arrive in Prague this March! The pop culture celebration at the O2 universe will be opened by actress Amanda Tapping, who has won fans around the world for her role as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The festival will take place from March 13 to 15, 2026, and tickets will be available for purchase at a discounted price starting October 10, valid until November 3.
