First Advent Sunday at Holešovice Market: meat, markets, and Christmas cheer

Meat lovers, beware! The Butchers' Day is moving to the Holešovice Market for the first time this year, bringing a unique gastronomic experience. The event is scheduled for the first Advent Sunday, November 30, and will offer a selection of the best meat specialties from top Czech butchers and restaurants connected to Naše maso, which is part of Ambiente. The move to the market is not coincidental – new Ambiente businesses are being established here, transforming the Holešovice Market into one of the most interesting gastronomic centers in Prague. Visitors to the Sunday event can also look forward to Christmas markets full of traditional handmade gifts and old Czech delicacies, making Butchers' Day a great opportunity to combine culinary experiences with the Christmas atmosphere.

Advent Program of Holešovická Market: Peaceful Christmas with Family

The Butchers' Day naturally follows the broader Advent program of Holešovická Market, which will run from November 27 to December 22. In the square next to Hall 22, Christmas markets will spring up with original and handmade gifts, traditional delicacies, and products for pets. The offer will change partially throughout Advent, so you will discover something new each time – from design trinkets to charitable products and selected books. Every Advent Thursday, the Market will come alive with winter cinema Mulled Wine and Film under the open sky, where you can enjoy Christmas and romantic films with mulled wine or hot chocolate. For the little ones, there is a task trail "In the Footsteps of Czech Christmas Traditions" (100 CZK/child), interactive Advent calendar, and Ježíšek's mailbox (50 CZK/stamp), where children can send their wishes directly to Ježíšek. Hall 22 will offer traditional seasonal ingredients – vegetables, nuts, and other ingredients for the Christmas Eve table, fresh Christmas carps, and unpackaged trees (in front of Hall 22). The entire space will be completed by a felt village – Holešovický nativity scene by artist Ivy Langrová, which will be enriched with a new character every week during Advent. You can follow detailed information about Advent at Holešovická Market on the newly created microsite http://www.holesovickatrznice.cz/advent.
