Technology through the eyes of art. Samsung is the new partner of the Rudolfinum Gallery.

How much do technologies dominate their users? This is the question explored by the exhibition Poetics of Encryption, which you can visit at the Rudolfinum Gallery starting February 13. The project, curated by the renowned curator Nadim Samman, will also feature the involvement of Samsung Electronics as the gallery's technological partner.

New edition

More than thirty artists are showcasing how the relationship between people and digital technologies is reflected in the world of art under the project Poetics of Encryption. The exhibition presents both historical and newly commissioned works through analog and digital media – and the experience of the artworks is enhanced by top-notch Samsung televisions.

Samsung as a partner in digital art
“The theme of the exhibition – the impact of technology on human experience – is something we perceive as very important. We are therefore very pleased that, thanks to our partnership with the Rudolfinum Gallery, we can participate not only in the artistic reflection of technological progress but also in the development of digital art,” says Martin Huba, product manager at Samsung Electronics.

“The Rudolfinum Gallery is proud to present the acclaimed exhibition Poetics of Encryption in Prague, in collaboration with Samsung. The theme of exploring our complex relationship with the new technologies that surround us makes the exhibition an ideal connection with the stylish and top-notch audiovisual products of Samsung. The valuable support of Samsung as a technological partner enables the Rudolfinum Gallery to share the visions of some of the most innovative Czech and international artists who are currently pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. I am delighted that Samsung has decided to support the work of the Rudolfinum Gallery, and I hope this is the beginning of many more great projects,” stated Julia Bailey, director of the Rudolfinum Gallery.

Artworks even in the living room
Samsung has long-standing experience in connecting technology and art. An example is The Frame television, which can transform its matte screen into an authentic work of art when turned off. The Art Store offers a curated selection of more than 3,000 paintings and photographs from leading world galleries. And just like in a renowned gallery, the Art Store collection is regularly updated.

“Technologies are not only a theme of art but also an important mediator of it. Although they often raise concerns within us, ultimately they bring us new experiences. And this enrichment is the main goal of Samsung. We warmly invite all technology enthusiasts and art lovers to visit the Rudolfinum Gallery and reflect on the theme of the exhibition themselves,” adds Martin Huba.

The Poetics of Encryption exhibition at the Rudolfinum Gallery can be visited from February 13 to May 11, 2025. Admission is free.

Based on a true story and terrible decisions, Channing Tatum will be Uncatchable.

His life was worth nothing. But he was a good observer. He could notice tiny details, established patterns, and imperfections in the system. He was also exceptionally inventive, smart, and charming. And that hasn't changed, because he is still alive. The crime comedy "Uncatchable" was inspired by the true story of former American officer Jeffrey Manchester, who became famous for a series of elaborate break-ins at McDonald's restaurants, where he stealthily entered through the roof, shocking both the police and the public with how long he managed to remain uncatchable. He hid where no one was looking – in a toy store. The star-studded film featuring Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst about bad decisions, genius ideas, and love, from which it is hardest to escape, will hit Czech cinemas on October 9, 2025.
