Řípská pilgrimage 2025: Tradition, fun, and cultural heritage under Mount Říp

From Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27, the foothills of the legendary mountain Říp will come alive with a unique festival that connects more than just rides and music. The Říp Pilgrimage returns in full force after a two-year break and will offer visitors of all generations a rich program, dozens of attractions, cultural performances, and an opportunity to reflect on our history.

New edition

Three Days Full of Experiences

The area behind the village of Krabčice will transform from Friday noon into the venue for one of the largest pilgrimages in the region. Visitors can look forward not only to traditional attractions for children and adults but also to the most modern entertainment technologies from Germany and the Netherlands – this year's edition will bring four new features.

The music program is once again under the direction of Honza Šulc and promises a diverse range of genres. Friday will kick off with a revival of the legendary Judas Priest, followed by the bands Trilobit rock, Steelfaith with guests from RockOpera, and the virtuosic Bitches from Eden.

Saturday will feature breathtaking parachute jumps from the Paragliding Club Říp, concerts by the bands The Aliments and Michal Šindelář, as well as performances by young artists like Wayliz, Jaroslav Oláh, Jakub Děkan, and Atmo Music. The Sunday program will delight families with children – Václav Upír Krejčí, a theater from Chocerady, and the legendary band KEKS will perform.

Not Just Fun, but Also Stories of Our Land

The Říp Pilgrimage is an ideal opportunity to combine entertainment with discovery. As part of the trip, you can head to the rotunda of St. George and St. Wenceslas – one of the oldest preserved buildings in the Czech Republic, whose history dates back to the 11th century. Another landmark is the memorial to the victims of violent collectivization in Krabčice, which reminds us of the difficult periods in Czech history of the 1950s.

Mount Říp, a symbol of national identity and the place where, according to legend, the first Slavs settled under the leadership of the forefather Čech, remains a spiritual and cultural beacon of the entire pilgrimage. Its majestic silhouette is visible far and wide and offers not only views but also deeper reflections on our roots.
