The November program in Prague doesn't have to end with just one dinner reservation. Sometimes it's worth heading to the market, watching a craftsman at work, or tasting wine with an explanation. Our selection starts with colorful Mexico in Holešovice, continues with a Czech pig slaughter, and ends with a tip for the last week of November. When planning, distinguish between free entry to the area and the cost of food, tastings, or separate programs.
November 5: Día de Muertos at Holešovice Market
Thursday can take the form of a Mexican fiesta this time. At Tržní náměstí and Východní korzo, there will be tacos, quesadillas, churros, and other specialties, with a Mexican market in hall 13. The food will be complemented by music, a traditional altar ofrenda, and a parade through the area at 6 PM. If you want to taste and also have a reason to stay outside after work, this is the most colorful stop on our selection.

This year's special guest is Lenka Whyles Nádvorníková.

November 8: Pig Slaughter with František Kšána
Sunday's tip is aimed at the area in front of hall 27 at Holešovice Market. František Kšána and his colleagues will demonstrate how pig slaughter specialties are made. Part of it will be prepared right on site, allowing visitors to combine tasting with observing the craft. For those interested in the work behind ready-made food, this is a different experience than a typical restaurant menu.

Check the specific offer and prices before your visit in the restaurant's current menu; the budget will depend on your order.

Choose Based on Company and Time
A Mexican market is suitable for an afternoon with family, where food can be combined with other programs; the children's zone needs to be addressed separately. With a group, you can head to the market for a pig slaughter, and for an evening for two, choose a reserved tasting. Those looking primarily for roasted goose will find additional establishments in our separate overview of St. Martin's geese in Prague.
