Taste Mělnicko: a new project connects the cities and flavors of the region.

Under the auspices of the towns of Mělník, Neratovice, and Kralupy nad Vltavou, a new gastronomic project called Taste Mělnicko has been created, aiming to showcase the best restaurants, bistros, and cafes in the Mělník region to visitors and local residents alike.

New edition

The project connects quality gastronomy with regional traditions and supports businesses that rely on honest ingredients, local suppliers, and a unique atmosphere. A part of the initiative is also a digital gastronomy map that helps visitors discover the flavors of the entire region.

The first step of the project was the inaugural year of the Taste Festival Taste Mělnicko, which took place in nine restaurants:
Aroma Neratovice, Na Pekárně Čakovičky, Vinopalna Nelahozeves, Rezidence Liběchov, Zámek Liblice, Brloh Barbecue (Mělník), Dobrý Kanec (Mělník), Němý Medvěd (Mělník), and Casa de Mateo (Mělník).

Visitors had the opportunity to taste special festival menus that reflected the diversity of regional cuisine and the creativity of local chefs. The project not only connects gastronomy and tourism but also brings Mělník a new way to present itself as an attractive and tasty destination in the Central Bohemia region.

Honey is not reduced to a sweetener, but is understood as a complex biological matrix with its own functional potential.
