Last year, this global hard rock quartet – John Cooper (vocals, bass), Korey Cooper (guitar, keyboards), Jen Ledger (drums, vocals), and Seth Morrison (lead guitar) – brought rebellious, infectious, and unique creations with their twelfth studio album and their very first independently released album, Revolution, which is led by the single "Unpopular." "The revolution we are talking about on this album is not a political revolution and certainly not a militaristic one, which I have never supported. It is a revolution of love. It is a revolution for love towards enemies," explains frontman John about the album's title.
From the beginning of their career, in addition to Grammy nominations, Skillet has received the Billboard Music Award and their three albums have placed in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 chart. They have sold over 22 million copies worldwide and have earned multi-platinum, platinum, or gold certifications from the RIAA for a total of 12 singles and four studio albums. On Spotify, they are regularly listened to by 10 million listeners monthly and boast "one of the most streamed rock songs of all time" with the five-times platinum track "Monster," which has over 500 million views on YouTube.
Their presence has impressively expanded into the entire popular culture, being mentioned not only by USA Today, The New York Times, and other media but also by WWE, Marvel, ESPN, and the NFL. As a live natural force, they have performed on four continents and in 26 countries, filling arenas to capacity. At the same time, they regularly appear at the top of festival lineups around the world, including several visits and great performances at festivals such as Rock for People, Download, Rock am Ring, Nova Rock, Graspop, and others. Skillet has also expanded their artistic range with a series of graphic novels called EDEN. The first volume stood out as the best-selling book in the history of Z2 Comics.
