The material base of humanitarian aid represents a complex system that can provide accommodation, clothing, food, hygiene, health, and psychosocial assistance, as well as other essential services to people affected by extraordinary events. The construction is ensured by the Fire Rescue Service of the Capital City of Prague in cooperation with the Medical Rescue Service of the Capital City of Prague, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Municipal Police of the Capital City of Prague, the Magistrate of the Capital City of Prague, and the Czech Red Cross.
Visitors will have two forms of tours available:
- Guided tour – offers an authentic experience of the entire space, including access to sectors that will otherwise not be open to the public. Groups of a maximum of 20 people, duration approximately 60 minutes. Intended for adults and children aged 10 and older.
- Free tour – the base will be open to all visitors without the need for registration. At each sector, there will be staff available to answer questions and inform the public about operations. A printed guide and QR codes linking to detailed information on the website will be available. Ideal for families with children.
One of the main program innovations is the podcast stage featuring stories of everyday heroes and their services to society or assistance in crisis situations. Podcast guests will share their personal experiences and behind-the-scenes work that often remains hidden from ordinary people.
