DISCOVER THE PŘEROV REGION WITH AMOP

The Přerov region hides a remarkable layer of architectural heritage, which is becoming increasingly accessible thanks to the AMOP project – the Architectural Manual of the Přerov District. This expert-popularization database maps the most significant architectural and artistic achievements in the former Přerov district from 1914 to 1948 and presents them to the public through expert texts, educational events, thematic routes, and an interactive map.

New edition

AMOP builds on the concept of the Brno Architectural Manual (BAM) and is part of a nationwide initiative mapping modern architecture and urbanism in the regions of the Czech Republic. The project is implemented by the association Za krásnou Olomouc with the financial support of the European Union through the National Recovery Plan, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, and the Olomouc Region.

The database includes not only detailed descriptions of objects with an emphasis on their architectural and historical values but also the stories of creators and users – architects, patrons, and builders. Accompanying documentation in the form of contemporary and archival photographs and planning documentation provides a broader context for the objects. The database is continuously expanded with further architectural, artistic, and urban realizations and can be found at: www.amop.cz.

The AMOP project inspires trips and architectural tourism in cities through individual exploration, guided walks, cycling trips, programs for schools, or educational activities for families with children. AMOP regularly participates in the Day of Architecture and other national and regional events. In the upcoming summer months, you can enhance your experience with cycling trips focused on the architecture of Přerov (July 17, 2025) or Hranice and its surroundings (August 9, 2025).
