According to a survey conducted in June 2024 for the company 4camping, people in the Czech Republic are reacting to this situation. Nine out of ten plan to undertake some outdoor activity. The most popular choice is hiking, planned by three out of four Czechs. Cycling comes in second place, with 27% of Czechs planning to engage in it. Camping is planned by 23% of respondents this year, with almost every third person in the youngest category of 18 to 26 years old planning it this summer. Data collection was carried out using the Instant Research application by Ipsos agency on a representative sample of 1000 Czechs aged 18 to 65.
"Most people have in mind an image of young people mainly in front of digital devices. However, we have been observing a trend of young people's need to venture into nature. Whether it's for gaining strength, finding peace, or the desire to experience something real outside the virtual environment. The fact that this trend is clearly reflected in the increased interest in camping is very positive news for the nation of campers, which the Czechs undoubtedly are," comments the results of the survey Zbyšek Pochylý, marketing director of 4camping.

Backpack
A backpack or smaller daypack is essential. There are countless options available. For hikes and outdoor activities, it's better to choose hiking backpacks with well-ventilated back systems. For example, you can try the Husky Junny 15 l kids' backpack (639), the Zulu Sandstone 20 for adults (899), or the Osprey Sylva 20 specially designed for women (2759).
Sit mat is a great helper on any adventure, and the basic option is enough - for example, Yate Bubbles (89).
For walking, trekking poles are useful for seniors to ease walking, improve stability, and reduce joint strain. They can also be handy for setting up a tarp shelter. You can try the Warg Compact Carbon (1599) or the Fizan Compact Pro (1859).
Water bottle
Maintaining hydration is essential. Special outdoor water bottles made of durable and safe materials are an ideal choice. Check out the Pinguin Tritan Slim Bottle 1 l (239), Nalgene Wide Mouth 1500 ml Sustain (389), or the Tatonka Hot & Cold Stugg 1 l thermos (569), or the collapsible Zulu Wide Flask 1000 (199). For a short trip, something smaller is sufficient. Lifefood Orange RAW Bio bar (49) or Chimpanzee Energy Bar Berries (39) can provide energy. For meat lovers, you can try Indiana Jerky Beef/Turkey 25 g (69).

What would a picnic be without a picnic blanket? The Yate with Alu foil (419), suitable for damp grass, or the Brunner Picnic Plaid (599) could be the right choice.
First aid kit
It's not necessary to scare, but being prepared pays off. Take a basic first aid kit equipped with blister and abrasion plasters, disinfectant, allergy tablets, and bandages. The Pinguin First Aid Kit M (369) or the Tatonka First Aid Mini (469) are sufficient.
Quick-drying towel
This towel is a handy item, especially if you plan to stay near water. It absorbs well, dries quickly, and takes up minimal space. You won't go back from the water wet. The options are plentiful, and you can try the Sea to Summit DryLite Towel M (399) or the Warg Soft 75x150 (349).
