Lenka Graf and her Czech Christmas marked by concerts

While others slowly start moving Christmas decorations from the basement, soprano Lenka Graf traditionally packs her bags and flies in from sunny Florida at the beginning of Advent to her beloved traditional Czech Christmas. She claims she cannot imagine the end of the year without them. This elegant lady with the charm of an opera diva, who bridges the worlds of classical and pop music, is preparing three Advent concerts this year.

New edition

“Christmas time has fragility, emotion, but also immense depth. And from a musical standpoint, the Advent concerts with their unique atmosphere are for me the essence of the crossover style. The blending of various genres and arrangements from classical pieces to gentle pop melodies is simply inviting. I love Czech Christmas and the concerts give me the space for what I cherish most - creating an atmosphere that stays in people's hearts. That’s why I am always so excited about them. I have been intensely empathizing with all the children who eagerly await Christmas since about September,” shares with a smile Lenka. She considers her performance at the legendary Advent concert in Dresden, where she sang solo and with the boys' choir Dresdner Kreuzchor in front of an arena of 30 thousand spectators as the most intense experience of her life.

Lenka Graf will open her Advent concert season in Prague as one of the stars of the gala concert Stars of Christmas at Žofín, which takes place on December 14, 2025. Just two days later, she will be welcomed as a guest by Štefan Margita in Mladá Boleslav. The highlight for Lenka Graf will be her own Christmas concert accompanied by the well-known string trio Inflagranti, which she is organizing on December 17, 2025, together with the Energy Helps Foundation at the castle in Litoměřice. The proceeds will be donated to charitable projects of the foundation, such as the educational program Energy Expedition.

The preparations for the repertoire and Lenka's legendary robes have already entered a hot phase. Her new piece Wings of Dreams, inspired by Dvořák's “New World” Symphony, will surely be heard at the festive concerts, marking her first collaboration with producer Michal Dvořák. A significant element of this song is the solo cello - and not just any cello. It was recorded for Lenka by the phenomenal Swiss musician and influencer Jodok Cello, who has nearly 7 million fans on social media.

And already, concerts for next year are being planned. It seems that Lenka will return to the scene where she shone alongside the famous vocal group Il Divo this past June. A grand celebration of Štefan Margita's seventieth birthday is planned for spring at Prague's O2 Arena, and Lenka Graf will, of course, be on stage alongside her singing idol and friend.
