The first one hundred customers can purchase a book with the author's handwritten signature. This is the only opportunity to obtain a signed book, as there will be no book signing during the author's visit to Prague. Additionally, all receipts will be entered into a draw, and 20 winners will receive free tickets to the event with Dan Brown on September 18 at the Great Hall of Lucerna.
“We are very pleased that Dan Brown is among the core authors of Argo Publishing, not only because he is one of the most successful writers of our time, but he is also an extraordinarily kind person. He has been to Prague several times, and we have been eagerly awaiting a book set in the Czech metropolis for several years, and we are happy that it is finally here,” said Milan Gelnar, director of Argo Publishing.
To launch the sale, the Prague Philharmonic FOK will perform, and Dan Brown has recorded a special greeting for the Prague audience. The editor of the book, Petr Onufer, who served as an advisor on Prague's realities, and Michala Marková, one of the two translators of the book, will be present.
“We believe that Prague's involvement in the plot of Dan Brown's new book will enhance the city's good name and attract visitors who come mainly for its history and culture, not just for entertainment. We are already actively working on this, preparing new products, thematic tours, and a long-term campaign that will connect the story of the book with real places in Prague. Fans of Dan Brown, whether from the Czech Republic or abroad, can look forward to unique experiences where the story comes to life right in the streets of the city. This type of culturally motivated visitor is key for us; at Prague City Tourism, we are targeting them, and it fits perfectly into the long-term concept of tourism development in Prague,” said František Cipro, chairman of the board of Prague City Tourism.
The e-book and audiobook, narrated by Aleš Procházka, will be released at the same time as the book.
