Little Italy in Prague: pizza, spritz, and September sun at the Market Hall

Summer is not over! On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Market Square in Prague's Holešovice market will transform into a little Italy for the fourth time. The all-day food festival PIZZA! PIZZA! POP UP will offer pizza in all its forms, a glass of spritz or prosecco, and the atmosphere of an Italian aperitivo, inviting you to stop by, meet friends, and enjoy life outdoors.

New edition

The festival starts at 11:00 and runs until 22:00 in the evening. Visitors can stop by for lunch during the workday, enjoy an afternoon espresso or iced coffee, and stay until the evening for drinks with friends. “PIZZA! PIZZA! POP UP is not just about food. We want to offer people a feeling they know from Italian squares – to have pizza outside under a sunshade, a glass of good wine, get carried away by music, and enjoy time together. It’s the joy of little things that Italians do so well,” says the author of the POP UP concepts Aleš Víšek from the programming department of Holešovická tržnice.

At one place, you will have the opportunity to taste pizza from top pizzaiolos not only from Prague – classics as well as less traditional variants, always with dough they are rightly proud of. And who will serve you their menu this year? Spojka Karlín, Mate’s PIZZA TRUCK, Your PIZZA Therapy, Picoška, Pizza Metro, Il Pane Italian bakery, Ňam Ňam Piaggio, SaSaZu Restaurant, La Mia Spitzeria or South Bohemian Pizza from the yard. Of course, there will also be Chroust Brewery, Bovelii café with its stylish red Piaggio serving coffee and traditional Sicilian arancini, or the incredibly good pastry shop at Moučků with homemade gelato.

The festival is freely accessible and welcomes everyone – whether you just want to pop in for lunch, have a spritz after work, or spend the whole day with the autumn sun and pizza in hand.
