Tour de France as a return to the roots
The route is 3,339 km long with an elevation gain of 51,550 meters. For the professional peloton, this is a lifetime challenge. Dan is making it even tougher for himself. He won't just complete 21 stages. Unlike the pros, who travel between stages by bus or even fly, he will make these transfers alone and by bike. In total, he will face 6,050 km in the saddle.
Dan is riding non-stop, without a team, without support. Everything he will need, he will carry with him. He will sleep only briefly as needed, and will restock supplies along the way. In the spirit of the early years of the famous Tour, when riders covered over 400 km a day, in the dark, without a base, without luxury, without commercialism. Pure will. Pure performance.
A battle against time and against oneself
Dan started on July 5, just like the professional peloton. His plan? To reach the finish line on the Champs-Élysées in Paris before them.
However, this project is not just about sport. Dan wants to draw attention to charity, as is his custom. His adventure helps children, the disabled, and people in hospices at the end of their lives. You can find the link to the fundraising on his website.

A ride that inspires
Dan Polman has shown that we usually have limits only in our heads. He will ride the Tour de France as a fun, an adventure, a challenge, a test of determination. And we are glad that he chose us as his nutritional partner.
Let's keep our fingers crossed for him. Let's follow his journey. And most importantly: let’s be inspired.

Daniel Polman completed the ULTRA TOUR project in July 2025, which involved completing the entire route of the Tour de France as well as the transfers between stages. He conceived the event as an ultracycling race against time. He started at the same moment as the professional peloton (only swapping the order of the first 3 stages) and aimed to reach the finish in Paris before them. Even though he rode 2,700 km more and was completely unsupported throughout, he managed it with more than 3 days to spare! A total of 6,013 km and 86,000 m of elevation gain was completed in just 19 days and 7 hours, despite frequent adverse weather conditions. ON AVERAGE PER DAY, he rode 311 km, gained 4,400 meters in elevation, and slept less than 3 hours, making his project an extraordinary ultracycling achievement. Daniel Polman (among other things, the holder of the Czech record of 911 km / 24 hours) annually combines his sporting efforts with charity. As part of the Ultra Tour project, his fans raised 536,000 CZK to support hospices, wheelchair users, and disadvantaged children.
