Advent Markets: gifts with a story, mulled wine, and treats all in one place

In the heart of the Holešovice market, a cozy Christmas square will emerge next to Hall 22 at the end of November, featuring a dozen stalls with original and handcrafted gifts that you won't find anywhere else. The selection will change partially throughout Advent, so you'll discover something new each time – from designer trinkets to charitable products and selected books.

Winter treat lovers will also find something for themselves. Mulled wine and hot cider from Kubík will warm you up and entertain you, Mr. Sláma can be recognized by the smell of traditional roasted chestnuts, and Parůžkov won’t forget your four-legged friends with healthy dog treats. A colorful range of gastro specialties will be provided by food trucks serving not only soups and hot drinks but also other seasonal delicacies.

Stress-free Christmas shopping: Hall 22 and Holešovice Bethlehem

If you prefer calm shopping without crowds and giant shopping carts, head to the legendary Hall 22, which has been a symbol of fresh seasonal produce from Czech farmers for over twenty years. During the pre-Christmas season, you can get everything for your Christmas Eve table – from carp to vegetables for salad and soup, to nuts and baking ingredients.

This year, Hall 22 will also be illuminated by Christmas decorations and a felt village – Holešovice Bethlehem created by artist Iva Langrová, which will gain one new figure during Advent.

Zero-waste Christmas trees, carp, and Butchers' Day

This year, the Holešovice market area will again feature the traditional sale of live carp and zero-waste Christmas trees, meaning sustainably and with respect for nature. Carp will once again be from Klatovy Fishery, available from December 20 to 23 in front of Hall 22. Also noteworthy is Butchers' Day organized by Ambiente, which will take place on Sunday, November 30. The Advent Markets will exceptionally be open this Sunday.
