It is a tradition that on the first day of the festival, we plan a unique concert that will be remembered for a long time. This time, you can look forward to a phenomenal musical experience in the form of a joint concert by the band Čechomor and the multiple gold nightingale winner Lucie Bílá. "Hey, darling," "I won't get married," "Gorale"... This is just a small taste of the songs that will be heard in the beautiful outdoor setting of the festival area among the trees.
The first diverse dance showcase of participating folklore ensembles will take place on Thursday, August 15, starting at 6:00 PM.
On Friday, August 16, in the afternoon, the residents of Červený Kostelec will be surprised again by dance performances in the streets of the city, and in the afternoon, history lovers can look forward to the traditional veteran meeting. This year's program novelty is the Wine Festival. For wine lovers, there will be a special area where more than a dozen top winemakers will present their products and offer the opportunity to taste their wine. The evening program will be dedicated to all foreign guests, and we will give more space to the most distant ones.
We will kick off Saturday, August 17, with a craft market and attractions for children. From 10:00 AM, the holy mass will take place in the natural area. At 2:00 PM, a diverse program awaits us in the form of choosing the most popular ensemble, and the Saturday program will culminate in the traditional evening gala performance.
On this day, you can enjoy a lot of great folklore and accompanying programs for all generations, including the youngest.
The last day of the festival will feature a parade through the streets of Červený Kostelec, and starting at 1:00 PM, the closing program in the natural area and farewell with the ensembles.
A total of 17 folklore ensembles will be presented to festival visitors. You can look forward to ensembles from Thailand, Colombia, Taiwan, Mexico, India, Georgia, France, Spain, Italy, and of course, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Celebrating with Ondřej
Friday, August 16, at 9:00 PM - J. K. Tyl Theatre
The military artistic ensemble ONDRÁŠ is a professional artistic body established by the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic. It consists of the Folk Instruments Orchestra, dance group, and girls' choir. It is the most famous and best Czech ensemble, celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, just like our festival. Let's celebrate the 70th anniversary together...
The ensemble's program is composed of dance, vocal, and musical numbers that will take you from the South Bohemian ponds, through Moravia, to the spirited Slovakia. You will enjoy both Czech round dances and dances from Slovácko, marvel at the variety of costumes from several regions, and be amazed by almost acrobatic dance creations from the popular Myjava. Discover with us the folk richness of regions not only from our homeland!
The folklore musical is part of the main program in the natural area, and daily admission to the area applies to it.
The Young Craftsman or The Craftsman's Path
Saturday, August 17, at 10:00 AM - craft markets
For the second year in a row, you can complete an imaginary craft path with us, at the end of which you will receive not only a commemorative Craftsman's badge but also a reward of your choice. At the market, you will find stalls marked by craftsmen where you will be able to try out a craft, learn something, and besides a stamp, at some of them, you will take home your product. After obtaining a certain number of stamps, you will be entered into a competition for tangible prizes. Every honest craftsman will be rewarded. More information at the festival info center or at the Ateliér RéziKa stand. Come and experience traditions!
