As part of Urban Talks, representatives of the winners of the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award will come to us and present their projects.

As part of the Urban Talks cycle, we will be joined by representatives of the winners of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, who will present their projects as freshly awarded authors. The transformation of the Charleroi Palais des Expositions in Belgium by the AgwA and architecten jan de vylder inge vinck studies, winners of the Architecture Winner award, shows how to work with an existing building, its capacity, and new layers through the removal of superfluous elements. The winner of the Emerging Winner category, Temporary Spaces for the Slovenian National Theatre Drama in Ljubljana by Vidic Grohar Arhitekti, opens the topic of temporary architecture that is not just a provisional solution but a fully-fledged support for a cultural institution during the reconstruction of its historic building.
HermanosGutiérrez, the guitar duo of brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez with Swiss-Ecuadorian roots, combines Latin American musical influences with a modern, atmospheric sound. Their virtuosic playing on two guitars creates captivating musical landscapes full of emotion, depth, and cinematic atmosphere. They will perform in the Czech Republic for the very first time.
Prague Zoo welcomes new additions outside of its Troja area as well. After two Przewalski's horse foals born in the Gobi exhibit, a colt has also been born at Dívčí hrady. For the very first time, the herd of European bison in Prague's Dolní Počernice has expanded. Prague Zoo is returning to the Union of Czech and Slovak Zoos (UCSZOO). The general assembly of this organization decided on the re-admission of Prague Zoo on Thursday, May 21. Thus, after almost four years, Prague Zoo has once again become a full member of this national association.
