Sports and entertainment in one place
The World Cup in whitewater slalom in Prague-Troja has been a guarantee for all visitors for years, not only of top sporting moments but also of quality time spent. Sports enthusiasts have a unique opportunity to meet the biggest stars of the paddling sport in person. And those who are not yet familiar with this successful Olympic sport can enjoy a pleasant day outdoors, complemented by a diverse sports and cultural program. Troja never disappoints. Ticket sales start on Monday, April 26.
Sports and entertainment in one place
The carousel of World Cup races organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF) in whitewater slalom will this year move from Slovenia's Tacen to the Czech Republic. The races in Prague-Troja will kick off on Friday, June 5, and culminate in the final disciplines, including the attractive kayak cross, on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
Olympians on the course and behind the scenes
The composition of the Czech team will emerge from the May nomination races of the Czech Cup. However, it is already certain that visitors on the banks of the Vltava will meet beloved racers, former representatives, and Olympic medalists across generations.
"The slalom community is known for everyone pitching in. Olympic medalists often become part of the organizing team, and I am a good example of that," smiles Jiří Rohan, the director of the organizing committee and a two-time silver Olympic medalist in the C2 category. "Preparing such an event is a great school for a future career in sports. In the past, for example, Jiří Prskavec along with his coach and father Jiří, Vavřinec Hradilek, and world champion Vít Přindiš have been involved. Perhaps that is why the races in Troja have such a unique atmosphere and loyal fans," adds Rohan.
Program, refreshments, and a world unique in Troja
The venue will again offer rich facilities for visitors, including a wide range of refreshments. The popular accompanying program, autograph sessions, and other activities for fans will not be missing.
A unique feature of the Prague races is the medal ceremonies, during which the winners will hear their national anthem performed live by the talented slalomist Eva Říhová. She is also an example of active athlete involvement in organizing the event. "Other World Cup race organizers sincerely envy us for Eva," adds Rohan.
Another attractive element is the layout of the venue. "Spectators are only a few meters from the course, making Troja one of the most attractive places in the World Cup series," says Rohan.
Tickets only online
Ticket sales start on April 26 and will be conducted exclusively online in electronic form. "There will be no box office on-site, so we recommend purchasing tickets in advance. Smaller children have free entry. On Friday’s program, all primary and secondary school students can enter for free," states Rohan.
Tickets can be purchased on the official event website: www.slalomtroja.cz/koupit-listek
Prices remain very affordable. One-day tickets in advance start at CZK 200, two-day passes cost CZK 350, and three-day passes are CZK 450. There will again be a limited number of VIP tickets, which are traditionally in high demand. A one-day VIP ticket includes a seat in the VIP stand and access to the VIP zone with catering and costs CZK 2,250.
Spectators can look forward to an unforgettable experience and a unique atmosphere right by the water, in close proximity to the athletes. Come support both Czech and world stars, and be part of it – perhaps this year medals will again fall for the home team in Troja.
