We start on Thursday, April 30th at 2:00 PM with the twenty-second edition of the Spring Břevnov Markets featuring the burning of witches.
We start on Thursday, April 30th at 2:00 PM with the 22nd edition of the "Spring Břevnov Markets with Witch Burning." There will be 20 stalls of craftsmen and farmers (sausages, wine, cheeses, toys, glass, etc.) for visitors. For food lovers, high-quality Czech sausages, potato spirals, trdelník, grilled cheeses, and other delicacies will be available. Six types of beer from the Ferdinand and ERDINGER breweries will be served, along with draft lemonades. For those who want to roast something over the fire, real sausages made from meat will be available for purchase. Children can enjoy a bouncy castle and inflatable slide. Face painting will also be available. The fire will be managed by the scout troop Jeleni. The best children's witch and wizard costumes will receive small prizes from the Břevnov Entrepreneurs Association. *** P R O G R A M *** 2:00 PM - opening of the market and refreshments 3:00 PM - lighting of the roasting fires 5:00 PM - lighting of the main bonfire and burning of the witches 7:00 PM - music performance The next day, Friday, May 1st, starting at 12:00 PM, the 11th edition of the "First Beer May" mini-brewery festival will follow. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to taste products from twenty selected mini-breweries from across the Czech Republic. The ERDINGER brewery will also participate as a special guest. A total of about 80 types of beer will be on tap. For wine lovers, we have invited sellers of Moravian wines. In the afternoon, visitors can compete in beer drinking races or endurance holding of a full pint. There will also be a discussion about Czech beer with an expert. The production will be ensured by guitarist Petr Kadlček and guests, as last year. Stalls with refreshments (melted cheeses, hamburgers, pancakes, trdelník, hot dogs, pljeskavica, Asian cuisine, butcher specialties, etc.) are prepared. Sales of souvenirs from the invited breweries and T-shirts with the event logo are a given. Children can have fun on both days at the autodrome, bouncy castle, or carousel. Throughout the event, there will be a large tent to sit in. Beer is only served in festival glasses, which can be purchased at the organizer's tent. Payment is cash only. The events take place at the Břevnov Monastery in Prague 6. Admission to both events is free.
