Eliška Rožátová, a painter, draughtswoman, glass artist, and creator of architectural realizations as well as free sculptural objects, is among the prominent and authentic authors who entered the art scene in the early 1960s.
She is most often mentioned in connection with the circle of glass artists; however, she is also an excellent painter with a unique sense of color and a distinctive painting style. At the same time, she is an author endowed with the courage to experiment, which is reflected in her search for new techniques in mosaic creation, her innovative perspective on glass sculpture, and in contemporary painting, where she handles classical painting techniques with the same freedom as she does with glass.
