Bridget is once again in high demand, on the brink of new romantic adventures, but it wouldn't be her if things didn't somehow go awry again.
At the end of the film "Bridget Jones's Baby," when the fate-tossed Bridget (Renée Zellweger) finally falls into the arms of Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), it seemed like they had finally reached the "happily ever after." It was exactly that, but unfortunately, it lasted a terribly short time because Mark died a few years later on a humanitarian mission in Sudan. Today, Bridget is a widow, taking care of her nine-year-old son Billy and her four-year-old daughter Mabe, and she can't seem to move on. The only man in her life is her former lover Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant), whom she only uses for occasional babysitting. However, she cannot withstand the constant pressure from her colleagues at the television station, friends, and her assertive gynecologist (Emma Thompson). They all agree that it is still too early for her to live without a man and that she should find someone. Just as Bridget finally begins to absorb this idea, things start to happen. Which other woman in distress would be fortunate enough to be rescued by a student (Leo Woodall) who is one or two generations younger and immediately falls head over heels in love with her? And why does she keep running into her son’s slightly neurotic teacher (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who helps him cope with the trauma of losing his father? Bridget is simply in high demand, on the brink of new romantic adventures, but it wouldn't be her if things didn't somehow go awry again. The stories of Bridget Jones belong to the most successful film series, with over a million viewers having seen the previous three installments in Czech cinemas.
