Winter is slowly saying goodbye, and we welcome spring in the way we know best — with a bash!
You can expect dance and fun in the fresh and energetic rhythms of Balkan beats, gypsy music, reggae, and world music. On March 20th, we will bloom in Prague with the lineup: MALALATA, Lovesong Orchestra (CZ), Radio Barbã (BE). Come celebrate the first day of spring as it should be — with a smile and on the dance floor. MALALATA (SK) has been active on the music scene since 2007 and has become synonymous with a unique fusion of Balkan beats, gypsy music, reggae, and world music. This duo of Slovak DJs blends these rhythms into distinctive sets, complemented by an unrestrained and infectiously energetic performance. Under their baton, clubs across Europe, as well as in far-off Japan and Mexico, have pulsed. They have made festivals like Sziget, Colours of Ostrava, Pohoda, Grape, and Uprising dance, and have shared the stage with names like Parov Stelar, Goran Bregović, Shantel, Mahala Rai Banda, and Fanfare Ciocarlia. Lovesong Orchestra (CZ) is a five-member brass band in the Balkan style led by conductor Tomáš "El Checo" Průša. Their performances are full of fierce energy, strong emotions, and live contact with the audience — this is what makes this noble local brass band exceptional. Radio Barbã (BE) is a traveler in body and soul, whose roots trace back to Belgium, but you will more often find him wandering through Eastern Europe. He follows the motto "Let Love Rule," and so his stormy DJ mixes connect Eastern European wedding hits, Balkan grooves, and transcontinental gypsy punk.
