BODY WORLDS exhibition in Prague: embark on a journey to the secrets of longevity and a healthy lifestyle.

The BODY WORLDS exhibition of the human body, created by German anatomist and inventor of the plastination method Gunther von Hagens, has been open since October 10 at the Westfield Chodov shopping center in Prague. The exhibition is guided by specially trained medical students who offer a unique insight not only into the functioning of the human body but also into the principles of a healthy lifestyle and healthy aging.

New edition

BODY WORLDS presents a detailed view of the human body – from skin to muscles and skeleton, to the nervous system, respiratory system, circulatory system, and individual organs. The exhibition also features specially trained medical students who provide expert commentary on the individual exhibits and are happy to answer all curious questions. This interactive form of presentation makes the exhibition not only interesting but also deeply inspiring – especially for those interested in health, vitality and longevity. The goal of the exhibition is not only to convey scientific knowledge but also to inspire a conscious lifestyle – to care for both physical and mental health, to be aware of the impact of daily habits, and to find life balance.

A special part of the exhibition is dedicated to longevity and principles of healthy aging. Thanks to it, you will learn how everyday decisions can influence both the length and quality of life. Through illustrative exhibits and documentary photographs, you will discover the latest findings in the fields of nutrition, sleep, recovery, mental balance, and movement – factors that today form the basis of a modern approach to one’s health and vitality. MUDr. Radovan Hudák, an orthopedic specialist and expert advisor to the exhibition on the topic, says: “From an orthopedic perspective, one of the most important pillars of longevity and disease prevention is regular physical activity. Without it, there is a gradual atrophy of muscles, weakening of joints, and deterioration of brain function and the entire body. Movement is thus the most natural 'medicine' against aging.”

Did you know, for example, that there are several places in the world where people commonly live to be over a hundred years old? These "centenarians" enjoy good health, vitality, and a youthful spirit – unlike many seniors in other parts of the world who often struggle with illnesses or fatigue. And what is their secret to a long and happy life?

  • They maintain optimism and a positive outlook on life.
  • They eat a varied and vitamin-rich diet.
  • They exercise regularly and engage in physical activity.
  • They do what they enjoy and take pleasure in the little things.
  • Every day, they find time for a walk, prayer, or meditation.
  • They nurture their relationships and surround themselves with friends they care about.

50 million visitors worldwide

BODY WORLDS is one of the most famous and successful exhibitions of its kind, which has already been visited by more than 50 million people around the world. All displayed bodies come from voluntary donors who have decided to contribute to scientific knowledge and education. Tickets and more information can be found at www.bodyworlds.cz

Typical moments of Czech Christmas that we cannot imagine the holidays without. What are the unchanging moments of Czech Christmas?
