SPARTAFEST announces a new feature: it will welcome fans at the iconic Spartan location – at Letná Plain.

SPARTAFEST will symbolically and physically move to Letenská plain in 2026, a place that has been associated with Sparta, its history, emotions, and community for generations. The new edition of the unique sports and music festival SPARTAFEST will take place here on May 22 and 23, 2026.

New edition

“Letná is not just a location. Letná is a feeling. It is a place where generations of Spartans meet, where stories of victories, emotions, and pride have been written. And this is exactly where we want to have SPARTAFEST,” says Martin Karasek, CEO of SPARTAFEST s.r.o.

“Letenská plain is a matter of the heart for Sparta. It is right here that a large part of its history was written, and fans have a strong connection to this place. Moving SPARTAFEST to Letná gives the festival even deeper significance and naturally connects it to what Sparta has always been,” says Michal Horňák, former player of Sparta and club legend.

SPARTAFEST is an event where the entire Spartan family, fans, athletes, and whole families come together, as well as everyone who has a connection to Sparta, for two days of celebrating sports and musical entertainment. The festival will showcase a wide range of sports within the AC Sparta Association throughout the program, which together forms Sparta as a whole, including floorball, football, hockey, athletics, rugby, cycling, rowing, table tennis, and more. Letná will thus transform into a vibrant center of movement, meeting, and joy.

Visitors can expect a rich program full of sports activities and exhibitions, meetings with Spartan legends, autograph sessions, interviews, thematic zones for individual sports, and the main stage of Hitradio City with curated debates and a strong music program. The line-up will feature well-known names from the Czech music scene such as Chinaski, Tomáš Klus, Slza, as well as musical talents like Robin Zoot or Rohony and other performers who can connect generations.

A strong emphasis is placed on the family aspect of the festival. SPARTAFEST is open to children, parents, and grandparents, while also offering an 18+ zone for adult fans who want to experience the festival atmosphere in a bolder form. The area will also include food zones, created in collaboration with key partners Staropramen and Kofola, which will provide visitors with a pleasant environment for relaxation and refreshments throughout the day at Letná.

“SPARTAFEST 2026 is not just another festival. It will be a community gathering, a celebration of Spartan identity, and a return to a place where everything makes sense,” concludes Martin Karasek.

FOR OLD MOBILE TO ZOO PRAGUE

Prague Zoo has prepared a special event for schoolchildren during the autumn holidays. Every child under 15 who hands in their old mobile phone for recycling at the main entrance will gain entry to the zoo on Friday, January 30, for just one koruna. The mining of rare metals like niobium and tantalum, which are key for mobile phone production, contributes to the deforestation of Central African rainforests. By recycling them, the pressure on local inhabitants – including pangolins, elephants, and gorillas – is reduced. Additionally, the Prague gorillas will have a special program on Friday.

Café Hein in the center of Prague is open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM.
