Popeyes from Thursday right in the heart of tourist Prague.

The iconic Chicken Sandwich will be available starting this Thursday in the very heart of Prague's Old Town. Popeyes is opening its new restaurant on Kaprova Street, just a few steps from Old Town Square – in one of the most visited streets in the capital, which is walked by thousands of tourists from around the world every day.

New edition

The restaurant will be opened by a Czech team on Thursday, August 7, at 10 AM, and the first 100 visitors will traditionally get to taste the famous fried chicken sandwich with a unique blend of 12 spices completely free of charge. However, they will also have to wait for other New Orleans-inspired specialties. This new restaurant, located on the main tourist route, is the seventh branch of Popeyes in the Czech Republic, and the fourth in Prague.

The restaurant is located at the corner of Kaprova and Žatecká streets, near the Staroměstská metro station. It offers 109 seating places and will be open daily from 9 AM to midnight. As previously announced, with its opening, the delivery service will also expand to additional streets.

“Kaprovka is a dream for every merchant – an incredible density of visitors, historical backdrops, an international atmosphere. We want to be as close to our customers as possible and bring them honest flavors even in the busiest streets,” explains Marko Blaževič, who oversees Popeyes in Poland and Romania in addition to the Czech market.

The Louisiana brand Popeyes has quickly settled in the Czech Republic – it opened its first restaurant in October 2023 and has since gained loyal fans for its unmistakable style and strong community spirit. It now has seven branches in the Czech Republic. Most recently, Popeyes opened restaurants in České Budějovice and Brno in the spring. This year, Popeyes will also enter other regions, with several projects prepared in smaller cities, including Pardubice, Plzeň, and Olomouc. By 2033, 60 Popeyes restaurants are expected to be opened in the Czech Republic.
