PIZZA! PIZZA! POP UP: Italy in Holešovice Market Come and extend your summer!

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Market Square in Prague's Holešovice Market will once again transform into a little Italy. For the fourth time, the all-day food festival PIZZA! PIZZA! POP UP will take place here, bringing the best of Italian atmosphere – pizza in the spotlight, aperitivo style, and the joy of spending time together outdoors.

Lunch, afternoon spritz, and evening relaxation

The festival starts at 11 AM and offers the perfect opportunity to come here for a lunchtime pizza with colleagues, enjoy a quiet espresso, and savor the first September sun together. Naturally, you can stay for a drink, meet friends, relax in a deck chair, and let the day flow – just as the Italians like it.

Italy of many flavors and forms

Visitors can enjoy the freely accessible program until 10 PM. The main attraction will be pizzas of many flavors and irresistible crispness from top pizza masters from all over Prague. But that won't be all! Other Italian specialties, refreshing spritz, bubbles, and relaxation with music will also have their indispensable place here. And for those who wish to nourish their brains as well, there will be a unique opportunity at the themed booth of the language school Lingua nostra, where under the guidance of native speakers, they can practice pronunciation, learn first phrases, or chat about pizza, coffee, and life in Italy.

The concept is based on the Italian style of spending time between work and dinner – the so-called aperitivo. This is exactly what the organizers are trying to bring to pulsating Prague – with pizza in hand, a glass of prosecco, and the autumn sun at their backs. “PIZZA! PIZZA! POP UP is not just a food event. We want to offer people an experience they know from Italian squares – to enjoy lunch outdoors under a sunshade, or to come after work for something good with friends, to savor the taste and aroma of crispy dough, a good drink, and relaxation,” says Aleš Višek from the programming department of Holešovická tržnice.

Typical moments of Czech Christmas that we cannot imagine the holidays without. What are the unchanging moments of Czech Christmas?

Every year we promise that this time we will take it easy, without rushing and without unnecessary sweets. And every year we end up the same way – we anxiously wait for the golden pig, nibble on potato salad already at lunch, and secretly hope that the breaded carp will survive until the evening. Some moments of Czech Christmas simply do not change – and perhaps that is exactly why we love them so much.
