Marvel's blast at Prague's IMAX: Thunderbolts kicked off the Czech premiere

The Prague IMAX cinema transformed into a celebration of the superhero world of Marvel on Tuesday, April 29. The festive premiere was attended not only by dozens of enthusiastic fans but also by well-known personalities from the Czech media scene. The red carpet, special decorations, cosplayers, and exclusive IMAX screenings highlighted the uniqueness of this film evening. The film, which has received positive reviews from abroad, is entering Czech cinemas with great anticipation.

New edition

The premiere was attended by a number of well-known faces from the fields of film, music, and television. Among those present was the host Lejla Abbasová with her son and his friend, actor Václav Šanda, and television presenter Karel Kašák with his girlfriend. Guests also included host and influencer Immanuel Adenubi, reality show Survivor participant Barbora Zavadilová, singer Elizabeth Kopecká, young and beautiful actress Yvona Stolařová, Slovak actor Michal Režný, and presenter Štěpánka Duchková with her sons. The atmosphere was enjoyed by singer Eliška Mrázová, presenter Monika Timková, model Josef Kůrka, Eurovision finalist singer PamRabbit (Pamela Narimanian), and actress Anna Kadeřávková, who arrived with her brother. Everyone agreed that the new Marvel film brings fresh energy and a strong story to the well-known universe.

Thunderbolts, which represent a new chapter in the Marvel universe, have already received positive reviews from critics during the previews. The latest installment from the Marvel world brings a darker atmosphere, unexpected heroes, and human emotions. The first reactions from around the world and from previews here speak of a fresh restart that gives space to lesser-known characters. The film features Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, and David Harbour as the Red Guardian.

Cinema City presents the film not only in classic formats 2D, 3D but also in special formats, which include 4DX, IMAX 3D, and VIP Chodov.

Jurkovič Villa will come to life in April with the exhibition "Record of Disappearance" by the young Czech designer, the fresh winner of the Designer of the Year 2024 category at the Czech Grand Design Awards, and the artistic director of the Rückl glassworks, Kateřina Handlová. With her original artistic approach, passion for detail, and combination of glass with other materials, she is one of the most talented Czech designers today, demonstrating how the boundaries between art and functionality blur. Her collections combine fragility and punk, reflecting admiration for strong women. The opening took place on Thursday, April 24, at 4 PM, and the exhibition will last until March 29, 2026.
