The charismatic chansonnier GAROU is returning to Prague.

Canadian chansonnier Garou, a man with an unmistakable charisma and a voice that can evoke chills down your spine with a single note, is returning to Prague after the phenomenal success of his concert in 2023. As part of the European tour The Best Of, he will perform on October 2, 2026, at the Congress Center, offering the Czech audience a unique exclusive evening filled with emotions, elegance, and the greatest hits of his extraordinary career.

New edition

One of the most prominent voices of the Francophone music scene in the last twenty-five years will present not only songs from his new album Un Meilleur Lendemain, but also iconic songs that made him a global star. Fans can look forward to hearing, for example, the legendary hit Gitan. His slightly raspy voice and breathtaking energy will remind everyone why Garou captures the hearts of listeners across generations.

Quasimodo and a Rock Star

Although Garou is inextricably linked to France and its music scene, his true home remains the romantic Quebec. Born Pierre Garand on June 26, 1972, in Sherbrooke, Canada, it was clear from an early age that music would be his destiny. In addition to his exceptional voice, he also developed a talent for playing several musical instruments – from guitar to trumpet to piano and organ.

In the 1990s, he gained experience on the club scene, enchanting audiences in bars and smaller concert halls with his captivating voice. The turning point came in 1997 when renowned French lyricist Luc Plamondon discovered his extraordinary charisma. He cast him in the iconic role of Quasimodo in the legendary musical Notre-Dame de Paris – and this role transformed the talented young singer into an international star within a single season.

One Concert in Prague

The Prague audience is in for an evening full of emotions, passion, and iconic melodies. His most beloved songs will be performed, from the musical Notre-Dame de Paris to the legendary Gitan, as well as a selection of his greatest hits from his rich musical career. Energetic rock interpretations of songs by global music icons will also be featured.

A special place in the program will also be reserved for songs from his new album Un Meilleur Lendemain. In this recording, Garou opens up to the audience perhaps more than ever – not only as a charismatic performer but also as an author and storyteller of his own life. The album, whose title means "A Better Tomorrow," is an intimate confession about adventures, fateful encounters, loneliness, and loves. One of the songs was even written by his daughter, adding an even more personal dimension to the entire recording.

And yet he remains the same Garou that the world loves. The man who started singing in bars, later performed with Celine Dion, collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, and became an unforgettable star of the musical Notre-Dame de Paris. Garou is not only a charismatic gentleman with a voice full of passion and romance but also a dangerous seducer.
