An exhibition of Czech artist Miloš Cvach (born 1945) and French artist Sophie Curtil (born 1949).
The exhibition of Czech artist Miloš Cvach (born 1945) and French artist Sophie Curtil (born 1949) aims to outline their creative development from their student years to the present. In a chronological line and in mutual confrontation, it reveals the specifics, intersections, and differences of the authors, whose private and professional paths merged half a century ago. Their creative personalities crystallized in the climate of a free society in France, where Miloš Cvach moved in the mid-1970s from Czechoslovakia's normalization totality to be with his wife, Sophie. Thus, both could naturally absorb the contemporary trends of world art, such as minimalism or the Arte Povera movement, and formulate their authentic artistic expression against this backdrop.
