You can watch the rowing races from both banks of the Vltava River. However, due to the bend below Vyšehrad, only certain spots provide a view of the entire two-kilometer course. Here are our tips on where to watch the race.
1. Rašínovo nábřeží – embankment
This area features the finish line with a large screen displaying footage from the course, a pontoon for announcing the winners, a café and other refreshments, children's attractions, and accompanying programs. Here, you will experience the true racing atmosphere, the tension during the finish, and the joy of the winners.
2. Railway bridge
A unique place where the crews of the University Eights literally pass right under your feet. Watch from the southern footbridge to see how your favorites handle the start, or encourage the crews from the northern footbridge as they approach the finish.
3. Rowing Island
Here you can see the starting preparations of the racers and boats, tactical meetings, the nervousness before the start, and the energy with which the boats set off on the course.
4. Císařská louka
Allows for a close view of the start, and from the northern tip of the island, you can overlook practically the entire racing course.
5. Czech Yacht Club
Another spot from which the entire route is visible.
6. Vyšehrad Walls
A unique "bird's-eye" view of the entire course, combined with amazing views of the Vltava River and Prague Castle.
7. Palackého Bridge
A beautiful view of the finish.
8. Embankment under Hořejší nábřeží on the Smíchov side
A good view of the finish area.

Prague Zoo welcomes new additions outside of its Troja area as well. After two Przewalski's horse foals born in the Gobi exhibit, a colt has also been born at Dívčí hrady. For the very first time, the herd of European bison in Prague's Dolní Počernice has expanded. These largest land mammals in Europe, which nearly went extinct in the past, have only inhabited the spacious enclosure since last autumn. Visitors have the best chance of seeing the calf around ten to eleven o'clock in the morning.
Prague Zoo is returning to the Union of Czech and Slovak Zoos (UCSZOO). The general assembly of this organization decided on the re-admission of Prague Zoo on Thursday, May 21. Thus, after almost four years, Prague Zoo has once again become a full member of this national association.
