The third year of the project

The third year of the project "Lights Tell..." brings a fascinating cosmic experience to the Yellow Baths.

More than a hundred light sculptures and objects made up of four hundred thousand lights will bear the name "Bell's Journey Through Space" this autumn and winter season. The light park "Lights Tell Stories..." is returning for the third time to the Yellow Spa in Prague. It brings an astonishing spectacle inspired by the story of the fairy tale character Bell. This magical guide Bell will take both young and old visitors on an unforgettable journey through the mysteries of the universe. The unique exhibition will be open from November 1, 2024, to January 31, 2025, every day after dark.

„Zvonkova cesta vesmírem“ includes planets, stars, the Sun, spacecraft, and astronauts, offering both a stunning light spectacle and educational interactive elements. Visitors will learn about the latest scientific discoveries about the universe through modern technologies and animations, presented in an entertaining and playful manner, which especially captivates children into an adventure full of discoveries.

Connecting Christmas with the Universe

The exhibition connects the Christmas atmosphere with cosmic themes. The Bethlehem star is symbolized here by a comet that accompanies visitors on their journey through infinite space, and there is also a unique cosmic tree of fulfilled wishes waiting for visitors. This element connects traditional Christmas symbolism with innovative light installations.

Handcrafted Light Sculptures: Art, Design, and Uniqueness in Every Detail

The light exhibitions „Světla vyprávějí…“ are unique primarily because their theme and execution respect and complement the place where they are installed. All light sculptures and objects are handcrafted in the Czech family company Decoled, led by owner Eva Poláčková. A team of experienced designers and craftsmen work together to ensure that each piece has its unique character. Creative ideas are carefully developed throughout the year to transform into stunning light installations during the winter months. Each exhibited piece is original and bears the signature of talented craftsmen who breathe life into these works.

Ecological Approach and Interactive Experiences

The entire exhibition is designed with a focus on sustainability. LED lights and other lighting elements are energy-efficient, and many decorations are made from recyclable plastics using state-of-the-art large-scale 3D printing. Interactive elements allow visitors to discover the mysteries of the universe in a playful way, and thanks to the environmental approach, the exhibition has a minimal impact on the environment.

Expert Collaboration

„Zvonkova cesta vesmírem“ was created in collaboration with astronomers from the Žebrák Observatory and other expert institutions, ensuring the authenticity and educational value of the exhibition. Visitors can look forward not only to a visual experience but also to engaging information about the universe.

A Unique Place for Festive Gatherings

The light parks „Světla vyprávějí…“ are not only a visual spectacle but primarily a place where people meet and share the magical atmosphere of the holidays together. „Our wish is not only to illuminate public spaces but also to bring light and inspiration into people's lives. We want each exhibition to tastefully and sensitively cultivate the surroundings while respecting the traditions and spirit of the place where it is set. This year, our light parks will be in fifteen locations across Europe, and we are excited to bring joy to everyone,“ says Eva Poláčková, owner of Decoled.
