Comic-Con Brno & Junior 2026 announces more big names. Fans can look forward to legends like John Cleese, Miranda Otto, and the famous voice from Toy Story: Toy Story.

An established holiday not only for comics is heading to Brno for the fifth time! Comic-Con Brno & Junior will take place from November 13 to 15, 2026, at the Brno Exhibition Centre and will traditionally offer three days full of domestic and international stars, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, games, books, and other entertainment for the whole family. The organizers are also behind the largest Czech pop culture festival, Comic-Con Prague, which welcomed over 28,000 visitors this year at the Prague O2 universe. The program will once again include the popular book fair Kniha Brno.

New edition

„Among the main international guests of this year's edition is the legendary British actor John Cleese, known to fans from the Monty Python group or the James Bond and Harry Potter films. Also arriving will be Miranda Otto, known from the Lord of the Rings trilogy or the series Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, and voice actor John Morris, who lent his voice and face to Andy from Toy Story. We will introduce more guests over the coming months,“ says Pavel Renčín, marketing director of Active Radio.

Earlier, the organizers announced, for example, Amanda Tapping, who portrayed Samantha Carter in the series Stargate, Katie Stuart, who played the girl Cassandra in the same series, Brian Thompson, the unforgettable villain from cult series and films such as The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Mortal Kombat 2, Dragonheart, and others. Also present will be world-renowned comic artist Filipe Andrade, one of the most prominent contemporary illustrators whose works have received the most prestigious international awards.

The fifth edition strengthens the Friday program and the Book Fair Brno

Comic-Con Brno & Junior combines two worlds in its title – the children's and the adult's. The organizers aim to clearly convey that the event is not just for kids, but rather – for all generations who love comics, movies, series, games, and everything related to fandom. The festival will offer not only popular activities for children, such as KinderCosplay, creative workshops, or gaming areas, but also dozens of lectures, discussions, signings, challenging games, and exclusive exhibitions.

This year's Friday program will also be significantly strengthened, which will be part of the multi-day tickets. Fans will gain access not only to the Book Fair Brno but also, starting at 3 PM, to an important part of the Comic-Con program. Fan program lines, cosplay stage, board game area, artist alley, sales zone, and programs with comic authors and cosplayers will be open. This year's program will also include themed exhibitions – for example, Czech and German originals from the legendary sci-fi series Ren Dhark, costumes of princesses from Czech fairy tales, a comic exhibition by Klára Smolíková, or an exhibition of signatures from the Popculture Museum in Jilemnice.

„A large part of the festival will also be an extensive gaming area known from the Festival of Fantasy, which will offer dozens of gaming stations for children and adult visitors. Comic-Con Brno & Junior has long been building on the community atmosphere of the Festival of Fantasy and other fan events that we have been developing in the Czech Republic for more than twenty years. This year, we are also significantly expanding the Friday program so that visitors with multi-day tickets can enjoy a full festival experience starting from Friday afternoon,“ adds Václav Pravda, program director of the festival.
