An international event focused on supporting contemporary new circus creation will bring.
The Czech Republic will participate for the first time this year in the international project Circus Nights, which will take place from November 15 to 17, for example in France for the sixth time under the name La Nuit du Cirque or in Germany for the fourth time as Zeit für Zirkus. The program, coordinated in our country by the Association of New Circus, will involve twenty-five events organized by new circus festival organizers, troupes, or theaters in thirteen locations across nine cities throughout the Czech Republic.
In Prague, KD Mlejn will participate with a morning circus workshop for toddlers and an afternoon circus combat game. Cirqueon is preparing a special two-day program with students from Czech new circus schools, including a creative laboratory, flash mob, aerial acrobatics workshop, and a discussion with an instructor from this Nusle-based Center for New Circus. At Jatka78, the Dutch-German-Belgian acrobatic trio Knot on Hands will host the Circus Nights with their performance Concrete, and the Losers Cirque Company will present the acrobatic show Audition at the BRAVO Theater, where the audience will decide the winner. The UFFO in Trutnov is preparing an open lesson with the CZirkidz Company led by Australian acrobats Aleshanee Kelso and Tomas Correia, along with a showcase of new circus performance.

Prague Zoo today awarded the Richard awards to its supporters and patrons. This took place during the traditional meeting with sponsors of the Prague Zoo and adoptive parents of its animals. The Great Richard was awarded to Colonel Milan Laniak of the Czech Army, the Small Richard went to the company Remobil, and the Wild Richard was awarded to Bidfood Czech Republic. The program also included the announcement of the results of the "I Photograph at Prague Zoo" competition, discussions with the Trojans, musical performances, and a special seal training session.
